“Youth in Action” (YIA) is an EU program set up for young people. It
promotes mobility within and beyond the EU's borders, non-formal learning and
intercultural dialogue, and encourages the inclusion of all young people,
regardless of their educational, social and cultural background.
Every year, thousands of projects
are submitted by promoters in order to get financial support from the
Programme; a selection process aims at granting the best projects.
Training
course “COACH 2 COACH: Coaching for Youth Participation”
took place on 18-23 July in Predeal, in the Carpathian
Mountains. This initiative, sponsored by YIA program, was intended
for youth workers, leaders, trainers, etc, who were actively supporting the
applications and process of youth group projects.
The
aim of the training course was to facilitate the identification and improvement
in knowledge and in attitudes of coaching and to master specific skills
required for the coaching process. The
main focus of the course was in sharing coaching understanding and experiences
and in exchanging methods, tools and good practice, relevant in the coaching process.
